Using a fan control software is a good option if you have heat problems in your CPU. Because this software has automatic heat control settings. So, this is what I prefer to go with.
Because by going with the automatic settings, your software will detect the heat itself when it crosses the limit. And, it will turn the blower speed high to control the heat.
Now, I would instead suggest you go with Speedfan software, but you can go with your choice as well. However, make sure to check that your software can run on Windows 10 OS.

SpeedFan software to increase CPU fan speed
Speedfan software is a free software to install and it comes with a lot of options for you. However, even if it’s been years since the software was launched, it is still a bit complicated for beginners to understand its settings.
So, I highly suggest you watch some tutorials or take professional help in this regard. Otherwise, a minor error can damage your hardware. So, if you still don’t understand the video or can’t get any professional help, see my step-wise guide below.
Download and install SpeedFan software
You will download and install SpeedFan first of all. Wait until it is ready to use. Now, you have to allow the software to run through your system, and it will check the details.
These details will appear on the windows. And it will also show the temperature of the system and the speed RPM of the computer, and you will also see a list of motherboard, graphics card, hard disk, chipset, and processor.
To change fan speed, you will need to understand the labels of this software first. And, you must not change the settings if you are unaware of what to do? And, once you know, lets proceed to next step.

Changing the SpeedFan settings for best fan speed for PC
Now, we will change the SpeedFan settings from manual to automatic. By doing this, we will increase the fan speed and keep the system cool.
I have already said that above. And, I am saying that again. Once you change the settings from manual to automatic, the software will automatically detect when the system gets heated. And, this will turn the blower high to keep the system cool.
For doing so, you will first click on Configure button and then you will click on the Advanced tab. You will click on the Chip drop-down menu to select your motherboard chipset.
Once you are done with all that, you will click on the PWM option that will include all 1,2 and 3. Make sure to keep them on manual. In the end, you will click on the OK button in the box.

Setting up the automatic fan control
Now, it’s time to set the automatic Fan control options. You can now set the maximum and minimum RPM for the fans. You will click on the configure button and click on the Speeds tab.
- After setting them up, you will click on the fan control tab. Here you will see how to adjust the CPU fan speed. You will set the temperature that you want for your CPU after clicking the fan control tab.
- Now, it is best to save the settings to increase CPU fan speed rather than doing all the settings every time from the start. Because you will have to do it every time if it is not saved.
- Now, you will click on the temperature tab, and your CPU fan will either accelerate or slow down the speed based on the temperature your CPU has.
- Make sure that you check the temperature sensor to keep track of the CPU temperature. And for that, you will see two options on the lower side when you scroll.
- These options will be ‘required’ and ‘warning.’ You can click on them with the arrows given with them. And now press the OK button because now you are OK to go with the software.
